Apartment sweet apartment
(~Summer Quarter, 2002)
My buddy Brandon and I lived at this apartment in the Wedgewood Estates complex from the summer of 2001 to the summer of 2003.

Of course, what page about my apartment would be complete without a silly (butt) shot of a roommate? Doing me some dishes... It's also the only shot I've kept of our kitchen during the day... but trust me, there's not much to see in there. It was technically larger than the kitchen at my previous place on 7th

This would be the vast empty space next to the kitchen, and the wall that really should have had a window into the kitchen punched through it. Notice the table, utterly lacking chairs. My parents were kind enough to let me have the old table, seeing as Bryce wasn't using it at an apartment any more, but they didn't have any extra chairs, so it mostly acted as an extra shelf for 4 or 5 months. It held the phone. That was its job. Later on, we got some shelves to go in the empty space. But I never got pictures of that.
The astute will notice that this was yet another door to the big blue room, located directly opposite the one in the picture above. When we moved in, we thought it was really neat to have both a front and a back door (and it was still nice to have one door for the laundry run, and one for the bus run), but mostly it caused problems like forgetting to lock one or the other. |

That thing generally known as the sun does, to some very small extent, exist in Seattle (even in winter, goodness!). I considered it important to record that fact, as well as show off the super sweet entertainment center with which my father tried to buy my love one Christmas (I'm not complaining, really). ![]() A nicer view of our couch, though without the light-corner being lit up. Speaker, lamp, pillows, blanket, and about six remote controls—the wonders of the modern living room. If only the game console controllers could be strung over the couch without having wires laid out on the floor, life would have been complete. |
I can't neglect Brandon's room (well, I could have, along with the closet and the bathroom, but that wouldn't have been very polite, would it?), but all the other pictures of it I took were total crap, so this'll have to do. I never did get a better one that showed off his nearly-naked Bjork poster and the mat which masqueraded as a "bed" (thankfully, he got a bed later). I'm particularly amused by the mutually incompatible doors to the closet and the rest of the apartment. |

And then there's my room to show off.
